We are cast as the hidden, wealthy, global elite pulling the puppet strings and that's not a minority to protect, it's the thing that needs to be brought down.

Perspicacious analysis. Progressivism rests on a universalizing(almost Christian) impulse. It is no wonder that it has an issue with Jewish particularism in the same way that other universalizing “faiths” have against Jews.
